Georgie Goldin
In Georgie's fun and interactive classroom, students discover their musical talents and affinities, develop musical skills and are encouraged to perform publicly in a relaxed environment, building confidence and overcoming anxiety by playing and singing.
As they explore the meanings of tone, rhythm, and dynamics across space and time, they learn to analyze musical pieces and think critically, and develop their singing, motor, language, and other skills. Our music pedagogue, music teacher and opera singer Georgie brings music closer to her students through interesting activities, and she leads the school choir for those who can never get enough of music.
Georgie is a classically trained opera singer with a master’s degrees in music pedagogy and opera performance from the Academy of Music in Pula, where she studied under the esteemed Professor Marija Kuhar Šoša. Currently, she shares her expertise as a vocal professor at Music High School “Ivan Matetić-Ronjgov” in Pula and conducts the female choir of the “Lino Mariani” Italian Cultural and Artistic Society.
As an accomplished performer, Georgie frequently graces the stage as both a soloist and choir member, showcasing her talent in various prestigious venues. Her passion for preserving and promoting cultural heritage is evident in her involvement with projects like the "Concerts of Homeland Heritage – Smaregliana," which seeks to institutionalize local studies and honor the composer Antonio Smareglia. She also actively participates in concerts organized by UOSIS, dedicated to celebrating the works of Istrian composers.
