Ivana Popa
From Belgrade to China and now Opatija, Ms. Ivana Popa brings nearly a decade of international experience to our school.
Her career in prestigious IB schools across China has taken her from classroom teacher to Head of the Languages Department at Utahloy International School in Guangzhou. As a certified IBEN workshop leader, Ivana is officially authorized to evaluate MYP programs worldwide—a distinction that speaks for itself.
But behind all the degrees and certifications is a teacher who knows how to turn educational theory into a vibrant classroom experience. She has mentored Extended Essay projects, coordinated the student council, and even trained future TESOL teachers.
At our school, Ivana leads our MYP team with a clear vision: education should be meaningful, connected, and inspiring. With her experience and passion, our students are in the best possible hands.

Their task is to ensure optimal conditions for the school’s development and connect it both to the local and global community it is part of.
