Visit to the House of the Halubje bell ringers
4/2/2025

This week, our students explored the rich tradition of the Halubajski Bell Ringers with a visit to the House of the Halubajski Bell Ringers, a museum dedicated to this unique aspect of Croatian cultural heritage.
Through interactive exhibitions, they learned about the history and symbolism of the bell ringers’ distinctive costumes, masks, and bells, discovering how this tradition has been passed down through generations, bringing the community together during celebrations.
To deepen their experience, our visual arts and psychology teachers organised activities that linked what they had seen to themes of community, creativity, and self-expression. Upon returning to school, students reflected on the importance of preserving cultural heritage and shared their insights through various class activities.
At Adria International School, we believe in learning beyond the classroom. Trips like this help students connect with their surroundings, gain real-world experiences, and develop a deeper understanding of the world around them.
