Dara Ramey
Ms. Dara brings more than 13 years of experience in developing and teaching creative processes and visual arts techniques, all with the aim of supporting students’ personal growth.
As a PYP/MYP Art and DP Visual Arts teacher at the International School of Debrecen and the American International School of Zagreb, she led classes that successfully balanced technical skills, theory, and project-based learning, encouraging student inquiry, creativity, and autonomy. She also contributed to visual arts curriculum mapping and increased student interest in advanced art programs.
It is also worth highlighting that, alongside classical techniques, she incorporated digital media into her teaching, implementing programs such as Smartphone Street Photography.
Nominated for Teacher of the Year in 2022, Ms. Dara now works at our school, where she continues to inspire the entire school community through process, exploration, and artistic expression.
