Katarina Smud
Katarina studied Geography and Italian Language at the University of Zadar. She gained teaching experience by working in primary and secondary schools. Currently, she is employed in two secondary vocational schools, the Construction and Technical School in Rijeka and the Natural Sciences and Graphics School in Rijeka. She regularly attends professional development seminars at the national level, as well as virtual workshops at the international level. She participated in a Geography teacher seminar in the UK, and was the school coordinator for an Erasmus+ project. When teaching geography, it is important for her to develop critical thinking and self-learning skills in students. She strives to help students understand global phenomena and processes, so that one day they can become active citizens.

Adria is led by a team of experts dedicated to progress of education and care for each student and employee. Their task is to ensure optimal conditions for the school’s development and connect it both to the local and global community it is part of. On this path they are constantly learning how to be prepared for future challenges and work effectively with and for people.
