This year, for the first time, our students participated in the Opatija Sports Day at the Marino Cvetković Hall, organized by the Sports Association of the City of Opatija, the Sports Recreation Club “Gorovo” and the Society “Naša djeca”, together with Opatija schoolchildren, and they returned full of impressions!

We all know that a healthy mind comes from a healthy body, but you don’t need to tell that to our students, because with the guidance of their Mister Krešo, the Physical Education teacher, they have already learned all that!

However, the question of how to choose the activity that suits us best always arises, both for children and adults. After today, we believe they are closer to answering that question!

In the hall full of children’s play and laughter, a series of stands were set up where students could learn more about the many sports in order to find the one that suits them best.

They discovered more about the sports activities they can join throughout the year.

They tried out basketball, tennis, martial arts and volleyball and had the opportunity to talk to firefighters who explained to them how to use the equipment. The Red Cross demonstrated the resuscitation procedure, and then the students had the opportunity to train themselves.

They went on a recreational walk along the famous Opatija promenade of Lunogmare and Carmen Sylve and returned to school full of impressions!
