On Friday, March 1, 2024, Adria International School held its first open-door day. Principal Marijeta Mašić warmly greeted all students and parents opening the event. Thandeka Duba, MYP coordinator, and Laura Kolano, PYP coordinator, presented the dynamics of IB education and the different programs offered by the school. while the Latin teacher, Barbara Turin, highlighted the differences between the IB program and traditional teaching models.

Furthermore, the English language teacher, Ana Bratulić, the Italian language teacher, Doris Juričev, the classroom teacher Anja Pirich, and the kindergarten teacher Radmila Badža, shared various examples from everyday classes, allowing the attendees to ask questions. While the parents had the opportunity to learn more about the school, the IB program, and the advantages of studying at Adria International School, the children learned about the importance of meteorology in a fun way, from weather forecasts to climate change, with the help of “Weather Stories” picture books illustrated by Nik Titanik.

The day ended with an informal meeting and a tour of the classrooms. We would like to thank everyone who participated and contributed to the success of this event.
