Visit to the Faculty of Physics and the Faculty of Mathematics

The students visited the Faculty of Physics and the Faculty of Mathematics of the University of Rijeka, accompanied by teachers Eva Ožbolt and Martina Knežević.
At the Faculty of Physics, they participated in the workshop “Gamma-ray or what” led by Marina Manganaro, where they learned about gamma radiation from space and the laboratory for astroparticle physics. They also visited the Laboratory for Scanning Electron Microscopy and the Laboratory for Quantum and Nonlinear Optics. At the end, they received certificates of participation.
At the Faculty of Mathematics, they participated in the Secret hunt workshop, where they deciphered Caesar’s codes and learned about the enigma. Prof. Ph.D. Bojan Crnković demonstrated mathematical tricks with cards, which the students successfully performed.
