Observing World UNICEF Day: A Humanitarian Initiative
12/12/2025

December 11 marks World UNICEF Day, a day that reminds us that even the smallest contribution can have a significant and lasting impact on the lives of children around the world. This day highlights the importance of unity, solidarity, and humanitarian action, values that we strongly uphold in our school.
Across the world, people organise voluntary contributions and various creative activities to support the health, education, and safety of children. In this spirit, Adria International School launched a humanitarian initiative in cooperation with Udruga Uzor, an organisation that provides care, support, and protection to women and children affected by domestic violence.
Our hardworking students created Christmas ornaments that we presented and sold yesterday at the Opatija Market. Each ornament reflects their effort, creativity, and desire to help create a safer and warmer environment for those who need it most. The response from our community once again showed how strong we can be when united around a meaningful cause.
We extend our gratitude to all parents, visitors, and passersby who supported us, purchased ornaments, and helped make this initiative a success. Your support is a reminder that every act of kindness, no matter how small, can leave a deep and meaningful impact.
