Creating Calm and Supportive Classrooms

Each month, our teachers come together for professional learning that strengthens how we support both our students and one another.

This month’s session focused on understanding regulation in the classroom and how a student’s nervous system affects their ability to learn. Through thoughtful discussion and real-life classroom scenarios, teachers explored how to recognize early signs of distress, remain calm and regulated themselves, and guide students through co-regulation.

As an IB school, we believe learning never stops—not for our students, and not for us as educators. These moments of shared learning help us continue building classrooms where every student feels safe, supported, and ready to succeed.
