From Fast Fashion to Sustainable Solutions

28/5/2026

As part of her Service as Action project, our student Erin explored the environmental impact of fast fashion and investigated ways to promote more sustainable habits.

Building on her research, Erin organised a sewing workshop for younger students, encouraging them to see the value in reusing old clothes and unused materials rather than throwing them away. During the workshop, students learned basic sewing skills and discovered how creativity can give new life to items that might otherwise become waste.

The activity also sparked meaningful discussions about sustainability, responsible consumption, and the positive impact that small everyday choices can have on our environment.

Through her initiative, Erin demonstrated how research, action, and community engagement can come together to create positive change.
