The festive spirit came alive at Adria International School this week as we came together to celebrate the season through creativity, community, and compassion. Our Early Years (EY), Primary Years Programme (PYP), and Middle Years Programme (MYP) students shared the joy of Christmas through a series of heartwarming performances and activities that highlighted the values we hold dear as an IB international school.

A Magical Week of Performances
The celebrations began with our youngest learners in EY taking the stage. Their delightful Christmas songs and cheerful energy reminded us all of the magic and wonder of the season.

On Wednesday, our PYP students continued spreading holiday cheer with a festive play and performances that they had been preparing with the support of their teachers. The children worked hard to bring their story to life, showcasing their creativity, enthusiasm, and holiday spirit to an appreciative audience.

MYP Celebrates through words, music and action
On Thursday, our MYP students took center stage with a special Christmas performance that included songs, a play collaboratively created by both students and teachers, and a heartfelt video presentation. The video, part of a meaningful charity initiative for the UNICEF Schools for Africa project, highlighted the students’ compassion and global-mindedness. Earlier this month, they participated, with the PYP and EY, in a Christmas market fair to raise funds and wrote letters to Santa beginning with “All I want for Christmas this year…”. Instead of wishing for themselves, they shared hopes and wishes for children in Africa to have access to education, resources, and brighter futures.

The combination of creativity, compassion, and action perfectly reflected the IB values we nurture at Adria International School. Through their work, our students demonstrated how words, kindness, and meaningful actions can positively impact the world around them.

A Community United in Celebration
The Christmas plays and activities were a true testament to the collaborative spirit within our school community. Teachers, students, and parents came together to make this season a memorable one, showcasing the importance of connection, creativity, and giving back.

Events like these not only spread joy but also strengthen the bonds that make Adria International School a truly special place. We are incredibly proud of our students for their hard work, dedication, and thoughtfulness, and we thank all families who joined us in celebrating the holiday season.
