Andreea Oprisan
Our homeroom teacher Andreea is originally from Romania but lived internationally for 20 years. She has a Master Degree in Education - Leading Learning and Teaching and Bachelor Degrees in Education, Law and Public Administration and Physiotherapy.
She brings more than 20 years of experience in education as both a teacher and a counsellor in public and international schools in Romania, US, The Netherlands, Italy, and now here in Croatia. Over these many years she has discovered that students learn best when they build strong relationships with their teachers and classmates, when they are challenged and when they are deeply excited about what they’re learning. Before moving here, she taught as the PYP Grade 4 Classroom Teacher at the International School in Genoa. She has a son, Cris, who just entered 8th grade. When she is not teaching she loves to hike and spend time with her family while discovering the beauties of her host country. She is looking forward to a wonderful time of learning and growing together.

Their task is to ensure optimal conditions for the school’s development and connect it both to the local and global community it is part of. On this path they are constantly learning how to be prepared for future challenges and work effectively with and for people.
