Ivona Raukar

Croatian and Ethics teacher

Ivona completed her studies at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Rijeka and obtained an MA degree in Croatian Language and Literature and Philosophy. During her studies she gained knowledge on planning lessons and extracurricular activities in accordance with contemporary language and literature teaching methodology theory. Her philosophy education improved her ability to analyse information and prepared her to apply theoretical principles and different domains of philosophy in real life and social situations. This way of thinking has led her to realise how important acquiring and improving one’s independent and lifelong learning skills is, both for personal and professional development. While still a student, she was involved in the “Improvement of Professional Practice” project, which was aimed at teaching processes that are most effective in stimulating critical and creative thinking in secondary school children. She considers herself to be a highly motivated young person who is always ready to discover new, innovative approaches to teaching.
