Andreea Oprisan

Andreea is the Chief Executive of Adria International School. Originally from Romania, she has lived and worked internationally for over 20 years. She holds a Master’s Degree in Education – Leading Learning and Teaching, as well as Bachelor’s Degrees in Education, Law and Public Administration, and Physiotherapy.

With 22 years of experience as an international educator, including more than five years within the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework, Andreea has worked in public and international schools in Romania, the United States, the Netherlands, Italy, and now Croatia.

As a school leader, Andreea believes that strong learning communities are built through collaboration, trust, and a shared commitment to continuous growth. She is passionate about supporting teachers in creating meaningful, inquiry-based learning experiences and ensuring that every child feels supported, challenged, and inspired to learn.

Andreea is also part of the Adria International School community as a parent, with her son currently attending MYP 5. Outside of school, she enjoys hiking, spending time with her family, and exploring the beauty of Croatia.

Adria is led by a team of experts dedicated to progress of education and care for each student and employee. Their task is to ensure optimal conditions for the school’s development and connect it both to the local and global community it is part of. On this path they are constantly learning how to be prepared for future challenges and work effectively with and for people.
