Adria International School Becomes Croatia’s First and Only IB Continuum World School

Adria International School is proud to announce that it has officially received authorization to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). With this achievement, Adria becomes Croatia’s first and only IB Continuum World School, authorized to deliver all three International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes:

  • Primary Years Programme (PYP)
  • Middle Years Programme (MYP)
  • Diploma Programme (DP)

This milestone allows students to complete the entire IB educational journey within one school—from their earliest years through graduation—benefiting from a globally recognized education built on academic excellence, inquiry, critical thinking, and international-mindedness.

The authorization follows a rigorous evaluation process conducted by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), during which Adria demonstrated its commitment to the highest international standards in teaching and learning, school leadership, student wellbeing, and continuous professional development.

Achieving IB Diploma Programme authorization is the result of years of dedication from our teachers, leadership team, staff, students, parents, and the wider school community. Their shared commitment has made this accomplishment possible.

This is not only a significant moment for Adria International School, but also for international education in Croatia. As the country’s only IB Continuum World School, we are proud to provide students with a seamless educational pathway that prepares them for success at leading universities around the world and for meaningful contributions in an increasingly interconnected world.

We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who has supported this vision and contributed to this achievement.

This is only the beginning. We remain committed to setting new standards of excellence in international education and inspiring future generations of globally minded learners.
