Additional tests
An additional test of knowledge of the English language for candidates who did not study it as a first foreign language will be held on August 24, 2023. at 10:00 a.m., and for candidates with developmental disabilities on August 18, 2023. at 10: 00 a.m. at Stubište Miroslava Krleže 1, Opatija.
For all additional tests, we recommend contacting info@adria-school.hr by August 16, 2023 at the latest, in order to assign individual appointments to applicants and shorten the waiting time.
To enrol into education programmes, candidates must apply via the National Information System for Application and Enrolment in Secondary Schools (Nacionalni informacijski sustav prijava i upisa u srednje škole, NISpuSŠ) website available at https://srednje.e-upisi.hr.
Candidates who are in the process of completing or have completed their primary education outside of the Republic of Croatia
Candidates who are in the process of completing or have completed their primary education outside of the Republic of Croatia may apply for enrolment into secondary school in the Republic of Croatia. These candidates do not possess the electronic identity in the AAI@EduHr system, so they need to be registered by the Education and Teacher Training Agency Central Applications Office, based on the registration form available at https://srednje.eupisi.hr, and to be filled in by the candidate. The deadline for registration and submission of personal documents and certificates is from August 16 to August 21 for regular candidates and from August 16 to August 18 for candidates with disabilities.
Candidates who are completing primary education or have completed it outside the Republic of Croatia are required to deliver:
- a copy of the birth certificate containing the OIB (Citizens of the Republic of Croatia) or a copy of the passport (foreign citizens), certified by a notary
- copies of the certificates of the last four grades of primary education, certified by the public notary
If any of the attached documents is issued in a foreign language, the candidate is obliged to provide the said document translated and certified by an authorised court interpreter. The document certified by an authorised court interpreter does not need to be certified by a public notary.
The same procedure applies to candidates who are completing or have completed primary education in the adult education system in the Republic of Croatia or have completed primary education in the Republic of Croatia before 2023.
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR ALL CANDIDATES WHO FINISHED PRIMARY EDUCATION ABROAD FOR LESS THAN 8 or 9 YEARS
Please note, candidates that come from a country where primary education lasts less than 8 or 9 years, have completed primary education and attend one of the middle school programs in their country but have the age to enroll in 1st grade of secondary school in the Republic of Croatia (14 or 15 years), should contact the School, which will then decide in which grade the candidate should be enrolled based on the evaluation of the candidate and the documentation provided.
