Exploring the school’s kitchen


In an engaging introduction to Italian language Unit 6 “Buon Appetito,” our MYP students visited the school kitchen for an immersive experience. They had the opportunity to converse with our cook, Miss Dusanka, who shared valuable insights into meal preparation and the daily responsibilities of a cook. This firsthand interaction allowed students to appreciate the intricacies of culinary arts and the dedication required in food preparation. Following the visit, students reflected on their experiences and discussed what they will be learning and exploring in this unit. This includes understanding various cooking techniques, nutritional values, and the cultural significance of different cuisines.

This hands-on approach aims to deepen their appreciation for food and its preparation, setting the stage for a rich learning journey.
