Adria International School is proud to be officially authorized to offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP).

With this authorization, students can now complete the full IB educational journey—from the Primary Years Programme (PYP) through the Middle Years Programme (MYP) to the Diploma Programme (DP)—within one school community. As Croatia’s only IB Continuum World School, Adria International School offers a connected learning experience that supports students from their earliest years through to university preparation.

What Is the IB Diploma Programme?

The IB Diploma Programme (DP) is a challenging two-year programme for students aged 16 to 19. Recognized by leading universities around the world, it prepares students for higher education by encouraging them to become independent thinkers, effective communicators and internationally minded learners.

The programme combines academic challenge with personal growth, helping students develop the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to succeed at university and beyond.

Through the Diploma Programme, students learn to:

What Does DP Authorization Mean?

Becoming authorized to offer the IB Diploma Programme is the result of a rigorous evaluation process conducted by the International Baccalaureate Organization. During this process, schools demonstrate that they meet the IB’s standards for teaching, learning, leadership and student support.
