Ana Maria Matajčić
Ms. Ana Maria strives to create an environment in which students grow both as learners and as individuals. She encourages the development of critical thinking and emotional intelligence, and her classroom is a supportive space where students can explore, ask questions, and build their skills without fear of making mistakes.
She graduated in Psychology from the University of Rijeka, with a thesis on the testing effect. Her student years were marked by working with children in playrooms, volunteering in an association for children with developmental difficulties, and gaining editorial and peer-review experience in a psychology student journal. She further enriched her knowledge and experience at the University of Padua, where she spent several months as an exchange student, exploring how children learn and grow in different cultural settings.
At our school, Ms. Ana Maria is dedicated to developing Service as Action activities and works as the coordinator for the Community Project and the Personal Project. Her philosophy? Learning is not mere memorization of facts, but above all the development of skills and self-confidence.
