Summer School – Week 2: Creating & Innovating
29/6/2026

Week 2 of our Summer School was all about creating, innovating, and learning through hands-on experiences. Our young learners explored engineering, coding, animation, and design while working together, solving problems, and bringing their ideas to life.
We learned how to tell time using solar watches by making our own and heading outside every hour to mark where the sun’s shadow fell. Afterwards, the children decorated their own wall clocks, creating a unique keepsake to take home.
Our Coding Treasure Hunt transformed the first floor of the school into an exciting challenge. Working in teams, the children hid treasures and wrote coding-style instructions for another group to follow, putting their logical thinking and teamwork to the test.
The children also created their own flipbooks, learning how a series of drawings can create the illusion of movement, and designed sailboats that were put to the ultimate test in a fun race at the beach.
Every activity encouraged creativity, curiosity, and problem-solving while making learning exciting and memorable.
