Igor Vlajnić

Igor completed his studies in conducting, singing, and economics at the “Ino Mirković” College of Musical Arts in Lovran, Academy of Music in Zagreb, and the Faculty of Economics in Rijeka, respectively. For over 15 years he was the conductor of the Ivan Zajc Croatian National Theatre Opera in Rijeka, performing in over 30 countries of the world. He has been involved in pedagogical work through various projects, such as the well-known Education Concerts. He is member of several national and international professional associations, permanently appointed expert witness for music, president of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County Cultural Council, and a music critic for Novi List. He regularly gives guest lectures and organises master workshops in Croatia and abroad, and sits on judging panels of numerous competitions. He is actively involved in scientific work, having published several scientific papers and one monograph, all during his tenure as a PhD student at the J. J. Strossmayer Doctoral School in Osijek. Currently he is working as a teacher of Music in the elementary schools Pećine and Skrad, where he also coordinates several active Erasmus+ projects.
