Larisa Mekis
As a dedicated educator with extensive international experience, Larisa brings her love of languages and cultures to Adria International School.
Originally from Istria, Croatia, Larisa graduated from the University of Padua with a degree in Applied Languages. She spent more than a decade living and teaching abroad, including in Spain, China, and Hong Kong, where she gained valuable experience working with students from different cultural backgrounds.
Having learned several languages herself, Larisa understands the challenges of language learning. She creates a positive and supportive classroom where students feel comfortable expressing themselves, making mistakes, and building confidence.
Larisa is also a trained yoga teacher for adults and children. In her free time, she enjoys yoga, hiking, swimming, reading, travelling, and exploring different languages and cultures.
Our teachers
Adria is led by a team of experts dedicated to progress of education and care for each student and employee. Their task is to ensure optimal conditions for the school’s development and connect it both to the local and global community it is part of. On this path they are constantly learning how to be prepared for future challenges and work effectively with and for people.
